Call for Papers: Urban Health Equity

Call for Papers Urban Health Equity advert: The Journal invites submissions that examine the deeper societal implications embedded within urban health systems and how these systems can act as a medium for broader social, cultural, and political narratives and change.

Our third call in our Critical and Conceptual Advances in Urban Studies Call for Papers is now open: Urban Health Equity. As a key part of this extensive initiative, the call for Urban Health Equity seeks to foster a deeper, more nuanced understanding of urban health and well-being. It encourages a departure from conventional perspectives, catalysing new dialogues on how social, cultural, and political elements influence urban health, not just disease risk or mortality.

The deadline for submission of abstracts for prioritised assessment is Monday 9 December 2024.

The deadline for paper submissions is Friday 4 April 2025.

Further details including submission guidelines and a list of suggested topics can be found here.

We appreciate your interest and are excited to receive your contributions, which will help advance the dialogue on understanding urban health equity.
