Announcing IIHS Research Week 2025: Call for submissions open for Urban ARC and PhD Workshop

IIHS invites applications for Research Week 2025, which will be held online and in-person at IIHS, Bengaluru City Campus from 13 -18 January 2025. The IIHS Research Week holds the annual PhD Workshop and annual research conference, Urban ARC.

Urban ARC invites paper and panel submissions on the theme, ‘Urban Transitions’ from various perspectives, sectors, methodologies, and disciplines. Urban ARC invites work that looks at both contemporary and historical ways of studying urban transitions. Urban ARC are especially interested in work that examines urban transitions in the Global South, particularly in non-metropolitan urban centres that are sites for future urban transitions. The PhD Workshop is an instrumental space for capacity building of doctoral students, particularly those working in the Urban. The Workshop is designed to provide a platform for in-depth exploration and for early and mid-to-late stage PhD students and fine-tune their work. It is open to participants from across a wide range of disciplines, with a common thread being an interest in urban research and practice. Interested applicants should apply here.
