Caitlin and Michele walk the city with Dallas Rogers, in a colloquy with the urban podcasting maestro that muses over urban development deals, and takes an unexpected turn into quiet archives. Dallas takes us into a personal stroll on housing infrastructures and value regimes, and we fittingly reflect on those zombie urban concepts in the same cemetery Michele and Colin ended up at in episode 1. Dallas takes us through the why we podcast and record and listen in urban studies, and makes us travel deep into libraries and archives to balance urban noises with the quirkiness of a peculiar kind of quiet.
Dallas Rogers is Associate Professor of Urban Studies and Head of Urbanism in the School of Architecture, Design and Planning at the University of Sydney, on the land of the Gadigal people, and is the producer of the City Road Podcast. His work focuses on the colonial and contemporary politics of land, housing, property and urban development.

And if you want more, we very much recommend Dallas’ book:
